Rapid_flask_development

This repository contains python file and templates to create a boiler plate for a new flask app. It creates a basic folder structure to get you started quickly. Following file and folder structure will be created by using this app -

/app.py
/templates
	/placeholders
	/base.html
	/index.html
/static
	/css
		/main.css
	/script
		/index.js
	/uploads

The boilder plate will be created inside a folder with name in this format “FlaskApp_%Y_%m_%d-%H_%M_%S”

Instructions to use this script-

1. Open your terminal or command prompt and clone this repository using the following command-

git clone https://github.com/c17hawke/Rapid_flask_development

2. “cd” into the “Rapid_flask_development” folder.

3. Run the following command in the terminal-

python rapid_flask_dev.py

4. “cd” into the folder named in this format “FlaskApp_2020_04_08-06_34_37”

5. Make sure you are in your flask app virtual environment or you have atleast installed flask. And now you can run app.py by following command-

python app.py

6. Now open your favourite browser and enter the following URL-

http://127.0.0.1:5000/

or

http://localhost:5000/

7. Now if you see the following output in your browser that means your boilerplate is ready and now you can edit your app files as per your requirement

NOTE:

1. If you don’t see effects of css then clear your cache and cookies by pressing “CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE”
